Our first visit is to the ARCHAEOLOGICAL RUINS OF WARIVILCA, 7 km to the south of the city of Huancayo. As the main archaeological complex of the Mantaro Valley, it displays splendid architecture for its time of construction.

We will then travel through leafy eucalyptus trees, toward the town of CHUPACA (Ciudad Heróica, where the battle of Carato took place, during the war with Chile). Then on to AHUAC, where we will visit the beautiful Lagoon of Ñahuimpuquio. From here we will visit the Archaeological Remains of Arwaturo, which were used as colcas, or storage deposits during historic times.
We will enjoy a delicious trout lunch and a boat ride.
